I’m New Yorker, making Nashville my home with my husband and three daughters. I believe that art is a way to unite us in an often divided world. Although my subjects and materials vary from work to work, my paintings, public art and projecst all all relate back to the theme of uniting community. I start each collection by studying and interacting with the community to paint and illustrate with layers of symbolism and research. Many of my art, though serious in theme is illustrated in quite playful ways. This symbolism can be seen back to one of my earliest bodies of work titled the Nomadic Project, where I traveled to all 50 states of America in an effort to unite America through art. The desire to utilize artwork as a force to unite, inspire, heal and honor communities is my passion and purpose.
