Viridian Artists presents *Iconic Imaginations*, an exhibition of recent work by Kathleen King, on view from September 29 through October 17, 2026. King’s work explores the intersection of mythology, psychology, and the subconscious through chimera-like figures that bring together elements of guardians, angels, and demons. These symbolic figures explore the dualities of human experience, including light and shadow, masculine and feminine, strength and vulnerability, and order and chaos. Influenced by Carl Jung’s ideas of archetypes and the collective unconscious, King’s works invite viewers to engage intuitively and discover their own personal meanings. The series also echoes the experience of reading tarot cards, with each image serving as an invitation to reflection, imagination, and contemplation rather than offering definitive answers.
