PhotoPlace Gallery invites photographers and artists to submit work for Cyanotype: A Celebration of Process and Possibility, a juried exhibition celebrating the enduring appeal and creative versatility of the cyanotype process. We welcome work that embraces cyanotype in all its forms, including traditional contact prints, camera-made cyanotypes, photograms, digital negative prints, toned and wet cyanotypes, alternative substrates, mixed-media works, and experimental approaches. Subject matter is open, but cyanotype should serve as a primary component of the finished work. This exhibition coincides with World Cyanotype Day, an international celebration of one of photography's most beloved alternative processes. PhotoPlace Gallery will mark the occasion with a special reception, workshops, and cyanotype-focused programming on September 26, bringing artists and the community together to celebrate the many possibilities of this historic and continually evolving medium. Learn more about World Cyanotype Day at worldcyanotypeday.com We are honored to have Sam Wang as juror for Cyanotype: A Celebration of Process and Possibility. He will select up to 35 images for exhibition in our Middlebury, Vermont gallery and another 40 images for our Online Gallery. All 75 images will be reproduced in the exhibition catalog, remain permanently on our website, and be promoted on social media with links to photographers' URLs.
