Linden Place Mansion and The Bristol Art Museum - Barrymore in Bristol

Overview Linden Place Mansion will present a series of tableaux evoking the life and times of Ethel Barrymore and Ethel Barrymore Colt Miglietta, from her first visits to Bristol in 1910 through her later years. Each room will feature a vignette telling part of this story - touching on themes of celebration, women's influence, changing fashion, early film, politics, leisure, and the arts. In conjunction with these displays in the mansion, artists are invited to create and submit original works of visual art (painting, drawing, fiber, printmaking, mixed media; no photography, film or video) that responds to the stories and themes of the celebratory vignettes.
