AADK Spain invites artists and researchers to apply for the 2026 edition of its Traces / Huellas Residency Programme at Centro Negra in Blanca (Murcia, Spain). This open call focuses on the idea of the trace-a space between presence and absence, imprint and disappearance, memory and projection. Artists are encouraged to explore how bodies, territories and spatial practices intersect, and how marks, gestures and erosion reshape the ways we inhabit and imagine place. Proposals may respond directly to this theme or engage more broadly with AADK Spain’s curatorial lines: body, territory and spatiality. Residencies run from 1 April to 31 December 2026, lasting 1-6 months. Participants receive workspace at Centro Negra, basic equipment, individual curatorial mentoring and documentation of their process, with public visibility through Open Studios and AADK platforms. Residents are encouraged to actively engage with the programme’s artistic community and the striking natural surroundings of Blanca. Accommodation & Fees • Private room in shared house: €1000/month. • Private apartment: €1300/month. Selected applicants may request an invitation letter for external funding.
