Tap Card Artwork Competition: The City of Santa Clarita (City) invites artists of all ages in our community to submit artwork for consideration for the upcoming “Santa Clarita Tap Card” juried competition. Artists residing in Santa Clarita and surrounding areas are encouraged to submit artwork that speaks to Santa Clarita Transit’s Zero-Emission Initiative, and could be featured on the very first Santa Clarita Transit TAP card, which will be distributed later this year. Deadline to Apply: June 14, 2025. Artists will be notified of juried results roughly two weeks after the deadline. The City's Arts and Events reserves the right to change the project timeline. Winner Receives: $200.00 monetary stipend, Featured on the Santa Clarita Transit webpage and Transit X account, with an opportunity to advertise their services or portfolio. Be featured in the Seasons Magazine. Get the very first limited-edition TAP Card—issue #1 of #1000. Invitation to the unveiling event held in October. The option to have their TAP card signed by Santa Clarita Transit staff. ELIGIBILITY: Artwork must be an original design. Artwork will need to fit on a credit card size space of: 85.60 × 53.98 × 0.76 mm (3.370 × 2.125 × 0.030 in) No copyrighted images. Mailed or delivered artwork will not be accepted. Acceptable mediums include: Painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, textiles, graphic design, digital artwork and mixed-media.
