Evanston Art Center Winter Arts and Craft Expo Call for Artists

The Winter Arts & Crafts Expo includes original, handmade works of jewelry, ceramics, fiber, metal, glass, painting, photography, mixed media, and more. All proceeds from the Expo will benefit the ongoing exhibition, education, and outreach programs at the Art Center. 3-D work may not exceed 50 lbs and 24” in height. 2-D work may not exceed 24” in any dimension and must be ready to hang. Commercially oriented and mass-produced items will not be accepted. The decision to be included in the show is decided by a jury, of which you will be notified in early October. Inventory sheets are due October 20th. We encourage each selected artist to price items from $20 to $400, with a greater quantity priced below $100 to encourage holiday gift purchases. Artists must drop off and pick up work in-person unless special arrangements are made with EAC staff. Commission to the Art Center is 40%, and all purchases will be made through a central cashier at the Evanston Art Center. Insurance may not exceed $400 per piece. Each artist will have approximately 20x30” of tabletop space. We encourage each participating artist (who lives in the area) to volunteer for one 3-hour shift during the show. For more information, please visit us online at www.evanstonartcenter.org or contact Emma Rose Gudewicz, Director of Development and Exhibitions, at (847) 475-5300 or egudewicz@evanstonartcenter.org.
