CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS! The annual Emerging Artists Open Show is the perfect opportunity for students, art enthusiasts, and/or artists earlier in their career to exhibit at the historic North Shore Arts Association and The Sargent House Museum in Gloucester, Massachusetts. One exhibit, spaced between two renowned locations on Cape Ann, on display simultaneously for three months. This exhibition is juried for admittance and awards. SUBMISSION CRITERIA: • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. • All artworks must be for sale. • Prices cannot be changed from those stated at submission. • Art may not be withdrawn before the end of the exhibit unless sold. • Artwork submissions are limited to three images per applicant. Artists may submit up to three works of art. Sculptors may submit up to three sculptures, with three different views each. ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS: • Accepted media: painting, drawing, mixed media, and sculpture. • No photography or giclee prints. • 2D Artwork accepted for exhibiting cannot exceed 24 x 30 inches, including the frame. • 3D Sculpture not to exceed 50 lbs. or 6’ in any dimension. • All sculptures must have a stable and secure base. • Works on paper must be matted, framed and covered with plexiglass or glass. • Gallery-wrapped canvas is allowed but must be painted on all sides. • Entries must be properly wired for hanging in the upper third of the painting. • No saw-tooth hangers.
