Curatone.art, an independent curatorial platform based in Berlin, invites artists worldwide to Light & Shadow 2027, an international juried online exhibition dedicated to the relationship between light and shadow: how light reveals or conceals a subject, shapes its meaning and gives it weight. Figurative and abstract work are both welcome, from classical chiaroscuro to contemporary approaches, in painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, textile, mixed media and digital art. Open to artists aged 18+ from any country. One artwork can be entered for free, and up to two additional works can be added for a one-time $10. A jury of credentialed art professionals scores every work independently on a 10-point scale. Results are announced on January 25, 2027. The first prize winner receives $150, a solo online exhibition on Curatone.art, an Artist Interview and a certificate. Second and third prize winners receive $50 each, an Artist Interview and a certificate. Artists whose works pass preliminary selection pay a $25 exhibition fee that covers publication of all their accepted works in the online exhibition and catalogue.
