University of Illinois Art in Architecture for the E15 parking structure
The project consists of a new 4-story precast concrete, masonry clad parking structure and asociated site improvements to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus on the site of the E15 Surface Parking Lot. The project architect has identified and enhanced an area on the west facade of the building to locate artwork. Choice of media for the project is broad but should be in material suitable for a long life in an exterior environment. Two or Three dimensional pieces mounted to the exterior walls is desired.
