Curated by Luisa Catucci and Melania Rossi, *The Ubiquity of Elsewhere* brings together nine artists exploring “Elsewhere” not as a geographical destination, but as a condition of mind: a space that opens whenever the body remains present while attention, memory or imagination moves elsewhere. For those shaped by multiple origins and departures, Elsewhere can become a persistent longing for a place that can never be fully inhabited. Yet the exhibition proposes that this condition belongs equally to the creative act itself—the attempt to translate what cannot be directly shown. José Angelino, Alessia Armeni, Barbara Boekelman, Matteo Montani, Remy Hysbergue, Antti Pussinen, Markus Keibel, Saverio Tonoli and Antonello Viola transform landscapes, sounds, memories and perceptions into material experiences. Across water, sky, electricity, sound, geometry and eruption, their works create thresholds between presence and absence, reality and imagination, the visible and what lies just beyond it. The Ubiquity of Elsewhere proposes Elsewhere not as a place to arrive, but as an ongoing movement: a space we inhabit whenever the mind travels beyond the coordinates of the body.
