Locomotion Fitness Mural Contest
Locomotion Fitness, with assistance from the City of North Charleston Cultural Arts Department, is hosting a public mural competition. Lowcountry mural artists age 18 and up are invited to submit proposals for a public art piece to be painted on the exterior of Locomotion’s building, located at 4268 Spruill Avenue in Park Circle, North Charleston. Up to eight artists will be selected. Selected artists will be given a materials stipend to create a 10’x10’ mural and have an opportunity to compete for first, second, and third place prizes. To apply, artists must submit a CV and rendering of the proposed mural via the online form at the links below. Deadline for mural proposals: Sunday, June 11, 2023.
Cash prizes of $500 for first place, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place will be awarded. All three winners will also receive a free month group class membership at Locomotion Fitness good for yoga, bootcamp, and strength training classes...
