ABOUT THE CALL FOR ENTRIES: WAAM Regional: Material Alchemy invites artists to submit work that redefines the role of material in contemporary art. This exhibition celebrates the visionary use of non-traditional, repurposed, and hybrid materials—encouraging experimental approaches that challenge the norms of form and function. We are seeking work from artists who push the boundaries of their medium—whether through innovative mixed media, sculptural practices, fabrication or the creative reuse of found or recycled objects. Artists who deconstruct the familiar and reconstruct it into something compelling, provocative, and new are especially encouraged to apply. WAAM Regional is open to artists living within a 50-mile radius of Woodstock, NY. FORMAT: Open to all artists within 50 miles of WAAM. Artists will submit up to 3 jpg files of works for the juror’s consideration. All media will be considered. Submissions can range from, (but aren’t limited to), painting, sculpture, video, photography, drawing, sound and music. There are no size restrictions.
