The IX Power Foundation will be accepting entries October 1 through 31 for its Art Poster Competition for the 8th annual Colorado Women's Day held in conjunction with International Women’s Day. Any visual artist, amateur or professional, may compete, and may be from anywhere in the world. The competition is open to female-identifying artists of any age. No more than three different entries in jpeg format may be emailed to PosterContest@ixPowerFoundation.org.
The winning entry will receive at least $200 (likely more) and have their art featured as the poster for 2023 Colorado Women's Day on March 10, 2023. A percentage of proceeds from sale of the poster will be shared with the artist; the remainder will go to SSAAP to dig wells for drinking water in Zambia and Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone, on the west coast of Africa, is one of the poorest countries on the planet, and has a high infant, child, and mother mortality (death) rate due to lack of clean water and waterborne disease. The top five entries in the competition will be promoted in the foundation's social media, on its website, and in press releases to the media at large.
SUBMIT: Jpeg's of finished work in any visual flat media suitable for a poster format to: Deborah@ixPowerFoundation.org no later than October 31, 2022.
THEME: A "Women & Water" theme, or other woman-centric, or women and the environment theme, should be pursued in any submission for this contest.
