The Arts Council of York County invites artists 18 and older to submit work for consideration to the 34th Annual Juried Competition at the Center for the Arts. Submitted artwork must be original work created in the last two (2) years and not previously shown at the Center for the Arts, Dalton Gallery. SUBMISSION DEADLINE | Sunday, June 11. MORE INFO | See prospectus link below. MICHAEL WEBSTER, Wofford College: Michael Webster is an artist whose work investigates the social organization of space. He has completed site-specific projects in Chicago, IL, Moorestown, NJ, Greenville, NC, and Talca, Chile, and has participated in residencies at Hambidge Center, Elsewhere Museum, and Penland School of Craft. Recent exhibitions include the Western Carolina University LIV LAB Project Space, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, SC, Locust Projects, Miami, and the 701 Center for Contemporary Art, SC. In 2012 he completed an MFA in sculpture at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is currently an assistant professor at Wofford College, Spartanburg, SC.
