The 24th Rosen Outdoor Sculpture Competition and Exhibition places ten new sculptures on the campus of Appalachian State University located in Boone, NC. WPGA organizes THE JACOB RIIS AWARD with the exclusive sponsorship of EYEMAZING Magazine and benefiting Save the Children Foundation. It will focus in portfolios (minimum of 8 and maximum of 12 images) inviting photographers working in all mediums, styles and schools of thought. Projekt30 is an artist-run arts organization dedicated to promoting emerging artists. In addition to providing professional websites and web hosting for hundreds of fine artists, since 2003 we have conducted over 90 online juried exhibitions, featured the artwork of thousands of artists, and have facilitated the sale of thousands of artworks. Each year, Projekt30 receives roughly one tenth the number of visitors as the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. We are currently seeking submissions for our April 2010 Exhibition. The exhibition will include 30 artists; invitations will be sent to our potent and refined mailing list of galleries, collectors, and fellow artists. All Projekt30 exhibitions are publicly juried, meaning artwork submitted will be presented online prior to the exhibition so visitors may help select which artists will graduate to the final 30. Open to all artists 18 or older who are US residents. Each artist may submit one or two slides or jpgs of recent, original 2D (wall-hang-able) work in ANY medium including work that has some sculptural elements. Cost of entry:$30.00 Over $8,500 in prize money will be awarded to the artists including three $1,000 Awards of Excellence.This year's judge/juror is Larry McNeil. $10,000 Grand Prize, $5,000 2nd Place Prize- Over $26,500 in total prizes! Each month of the competition, a professional artist juror selects and critiques 12 finalist paintings from the monthly entries. These finalists are announced by the 15th of the following month. At the end of the 12 months of the competition, a final artist judge will choose the 12 award winners from these 144 monthly finalists. Competition began August 1, 2009 and is currently in progress. The last day to enter for a particular month is the last day of that month. Throughout the duration of the contest, monthly finalists' names and websites are displayed on RayMar Art's site so collectors may contact you directly. Previous years' winners also remain on our site for continued recognition. Previous judges include Kevin Macpherson, Betty Carr, Jeremy Lipking, Greg LaRock, William Scott Jennings, Joanne Larue and many others. The contest is RayMar Art's means of recognizing exceptional artwork and rewarding artists with substantial cash prizes.

The United States Mint invites artists to be a part of American history through coin design. The Artistic Infusion Program (AIP) provides gifted artists the opportunity to contribute creative and beautiful designs for coins that will be enjoyed by all Americans. The Abbey is dedicated to promoting international peace and understanding through the universal language of the arts. The Creative Residency program provides time and space for individuals and groups to create new works, research innovative ideas, and experiment with different techniques and modes of production.Interaction among like minded individuals and studio visits with the Visiting Artist. The Visiting Artist will also present a slide lecture or a reading during their stay at the Abbey.The facilities at the Abbey include shared studio space in centuries old barn, secluded writing studios, and extensive grounds for painting and drawing. Internet access is available.
