DEADLINE JUNE 01, 2008Small Canvas, Big ArtCountry Iowa, Ankeny - Calls for Submissions, Acrylic, Crafts, Illustration, Mixed media, Watercolor, Pastel, Photography, Poetry Art Organization The Ankeny Art Center is issuing a call for entries for Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) for an exhibit which opens June 17. ATCs are mixed-media works of art that measure 2½" x 3 ½". The emerging art media of ATCs will be the sole focus of this exhibit that runs from June 17 – August 30, 2008. The exhibit includes an opening reception with an awards presentation, three workshops and an ATC trading session. All entries must be postmarked no later than June 1, 2008. The submission fee is $7 and may include up to three entries. Awards will be given for Best of Show, Humor, Use of Fabric and Age 18 & under category. All entries will be included in the exhibit. Our hope is to make this a traveling exhibit. Anyone from professional artists and designers to those just beginning their Artist Trading Card journey, including children can enter. All entries must be 2 ½” x 3 ½”, have your name and complete mailing address typed on the back and be in protective ATC sleeves.
