CALL FOR ENTRIES, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society's 34th International Juried Exhibition, October 5 - Novenber 15, 2013, at the Crary Art Gallery, Warren, PA. Over $10,000 in cash and merchandise awards. Limit 2 entries of which only 1 may be selected. Entry fees Members -1 or 2 entries($20); Non-members - 1 or 2 entries($30). Open to all artists 18 or older, working with water media on paper. All work must be original,done within the past three years and not previously shown in any PWS exhibit. No copies, class work or computer work allowed. Collage elements must be less than 10% and comprised of water media on paper. No diptychs or triptychs. Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces a call for entries with the theme “Figurative” for an online juried art competition for the month of May 2013. The gallery would like for all 2D artists (including photography) to send us your best interpretation of the theme “Figurative” by depicting the human form or human features. “Figurative” is considered to be figures, forms and faces for inclusion into the gallery’s June 2013 online Group Art Exhibition. We will accept art on this subject that is either representational or abstract, but please, do not submit any erotic art. Winners of the "Figurative" Art Exhibition will receive extensive worldwide publicity and promotion in the form of email marketing, 70+ press release announcements, 75+ event announcement posts, extensive social media marketing and distribution, in order to make the art world aware of the art exhibition and in particular, the artist’s accomplishments. There will also be links back to the artist’s website included as part of this award package when posted online. Humans bloom like flora and fauna; the girl on the cusp of womanhood, a boy breaching the threshold to manhood. Romance us with your interpretations of this tenuous beauty, these arrangements of organic sensuality. All selected entries are exhibited in our gallery and included in a full color exhibit catalog. Juror's Choice receives a 30x48" vinyl exhibit banner featuring their image, free entry into a future exhibition and a free exhibition catalog. Honorable Mentions receive free exhibition catalogs and free entry in a future exhibition. People's Choice gains free entry into a future exhibit. We offer free matting and framing of accepted entries for the duration of each of our exhibition, subject to standard sizes.
