Raebec Gallery's International Art Affair

Raebec Gallery is seeking entries for our premiere “International Art Affair” online exhibition. Accepted artists will have their work featured in the month long show showcasing their art along with descriptions of the artwork and artist contact information. Original, two and three-dimensional art completed within two years of the entry deadline is eligible. All international artists, professional and amateur and all art mediums will be considered: paintings, drawings, oil, acrylic, pastels, ink, graphite, photography. Ineligible media includes:computer enhanced or generated artwork, wearable art, jewelry, artwork in frames. Artists 18 or older are invited to submit up to 3 pieces per entry. This exhibition is an all media show and the theme is open and will be judged on originality and the overall artistic quality of the work, including compositional excellence. Projekt30 seeks art for its open-theme juried exhibition. The show will be promoted to our exclusive mailing list of art galleries and collectors, as well as on the web. This competition will be publicly juried: all submissions are presented to viewers who help select the winners. Our previous exhibitions have garnered countless sales and opportunities for participants. Projekt30 is a web-host dedicated to fine artists. Beers.Lambert Contemporary is proud to present an open call for our 4th Annual Open Exhibition, Contemporary Visions IV, held at our gallery in the heart of vibrant East London's contemporary art district between Shoreditch and The City. The Beers.Lambert Contemporary annual open call/exhibition seeks to identify current trends in contemporary art through the discovery and exhibition of artists working in all artistic disciplines. Artists worldwide and at any career stage are welcome to submit an application for consideration to exhibit with Beers.Lambert Contemporary in London from November 14 - December 22, 2013. Applications will be juried by Kurt Beers, Director of Beers.Lambert and author of 100 Painters of Tomorrow; Christopher Jobson, Creator and Editor of 'This is Colossal'; Andrew Salgado, London-based artist and painter; and Cathy Wills, Chair of Collections at London's Contemporary Art Society. Entry Deadline: July 1. The Third Coast National is a non-thematic, juried exhibition of new works of art from across the USA. We are simply looking for innovative contemporary artwork. Important Dates: July 1 - Entry Deadline, Aug. 2 - Artists notified, Sept. 6-Oct 18: Exhibition Dates, Sept. 6: Opening reception, Sept. 7: Juror's Lecture. Location: K Space Contemporary (KSC), 415D Starr St. Corpus Christi, TX (see our website) Juror: Andy Coolquitt - born in Texas in 1964, and currently lives in Austin. This fall, he presented a major solo exhibition titled "attainable excellence" at AMOA-Arthouse in Austin, Texas. This exhibition was organized by the Blaffer Museum in Houston, and opened there in May 2013. Coolquitt is currently an artist-in-residence at 21er Haus in Vienna, Austria, and will open an exhibition there in July, 2013. He is represented by Lisa Cooley in New York, and Galerie Krinzinger in Vienna.Eligibility: Artists age 18+ living in USA. Original works of art (in any fine art media) not previously exhibited at KSC and completed within the past 2 years. All works must be for sale. KSC retains 40% commission. Entry Fee: $35 for 1-3 works of art. $5 for each dditional work entered. Awards: $2000 in cash awards for 1st-5th places, plus Honorable Mentions at juror's discretion. 2D-3D Works National Art Competition - Call for Artists

Entry is open to artists residing in the U.S. Artists working in 2D or 3D media and presenting works in any style, from abstract to representational. Work should demonstrate a strong emphasis in formal design concepts, such as the elements of form, line, value, texture, composition, and color, and/or the principles of repetition, rhythm, balance, proportion, and variety. While digital images will be considered, works using non-digital mediums are desired. Photographic works are not eligible, however, photographers may enter the 2013 Photography Exhibition on this same website. Wall pieces may not exceed 48" width and 72" height. 3D floor/pedestal pieces may not exceed 5ft in any direction. Assembled works may not exceed 50lbs. in weight. Juror: René de Guzman, Curator of Art, Oakland Museum of California. Awards for 2D and 3D: Best of Show $600, 2nd place, $400, 3rd Place $300. Entry Fee: $30 for first 3 entries, $3 each additional entry for a total of 6 entries. Alternate view images of 3D works are $3 each. Gallery Exhibition: October 10 - November 7, 2013. For this juried group photo show Black Box Gallery will look at what is the possible diversity, complexity/simplicity and visual impact of contemporary color photography. How do photographers use color to captivate, compose and stylize their subjects? There is a strong tradition of color photographers from William Eggleston, Steven Shore, Nan Golden, Andres Gursky, Jeff Wall, William Cristenberry, Cindy Sherman, Annie Liebovitz and Gregory Crewdson. Juror: Todd Johnson - Todd Johnson is the Director of Black Box Gallery. He earned his MFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute. His work has been exhibited nationally in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Minneapolis, San Francisco and Portland Oregon. His work has been written about and reviewed in The Washington Post, The Oregonian, and online in Portland Art News. He has worked for The Portland Art Museum, Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, The Art Gym at Marylhurst University, Reed College and Portland Commuity College. He has been an active photographer, educator and curator for over twenty years.
