SMALL WORKS (Juried): Largeness Writ Small: A Selection Of Small-Scale Work. JUROR: Buzz Spector, artist, writer, and art editor of december magazine. DEADLINE: Mar 28, 2022. Building on the tradition of Small Works exhibitions at WAAM, juror Buzz Spector is most interested in how medium and technique impact the perception of scale in small-sized works. It goes without saying that the most beautiful and sublime landscapes, still lifes, and abstractions can be depicted on the smallest surfaces. Largeness Writ Small proves that even the grandest ideas can be portrayed in small format. All mediums welcome. This call is open Feb 28 — Mar 28, 2022. Notifications to artists (via Submittable e-mail): April 20. Intake for accepted work at WAAM: May 10, 10:00 – 4:00. Exhibition Dates: May 20 — July 4. Artists Reception: May 28, 4-6 pm.
