The Woodlands Arts Council invites local, national and international artists to apply for the next installation of the Woodlands Public Art outdoor permanent collection located in The Woodlands, Texas, USA (located 40 mile north of Houston). Phase Vb of this public art project will feature five (5) individual new art bike racks to be installed along The Woodlands Waterway adjacent to The Cynthia Woods-Mitchell Pavilion (Ranked #3 Best Music & Outdoor amphitheater in the world) and in the Hughes Landing mixed-use upscale “lifestyle” development adjacent to Lake Woodlands. Up to three (3) semi-finalists will be chosen for each artwork location in a preliminary selection process. One (1) finalist for each location will be chosen to construct an art bike rack. Each art bike rack finalist will receive $6,000 for bike rack selected and installed. ($3,000 upon execution of Artist Agreement and the final $3,000 when Bike Rack is delivered and accepted).
