Village of Beverly Hills - Sculptures in the Parks

The Village of Beverly Hills is seeking entries for their inaugural Sculptures in the Parks exhibit. Selected works will show the connection between art and nature. The sculptures will be on loan from the artist to the Village for three years, May 2022 through April 2025. Work submitted for Sculpture in the Parks must be: • Original: designed and created by you • Community-friendly, suitable for viewing by all ages • Able to stand freely or be anchored in soil; foundations/bases are not provided. Sculptures designed to be hung must use hardware that does not damage trees. Sculptures must be installed in a workmanlike manner with sufficient anchoring to prevent the sculpture from being removed, tipped, broken or overturned. • Able to withstand pressure from wind, rain, snow, freezing temperatures, and the activities of visitors to the parks. • Installed by the artist between May 1 and May 20, 2022. Artist Responsibilities: • Transportation of sculpture to and from the site • Installation and removal of sculpture • Insurance of sculpture • Maintenance and repair, if necessary Selected artists will receive a $1000 stipend upon successful installation of the sculpture.
